spring inspiration: jumpsuits

As I was reviewing all the dresses from last night's SAG awards I came across Julie Bowen and thought to myself "I LOVE THIS LOOK". Now keep in mind I bought a vintage jumpsuit that is awesome but have yet to wear it.  Maybe I will post pics of it one of these days. Anywaaaaaaaaay, I decided to look around for other awesome jumpsuits and realized that Spring 2011 is the season for them.  This maybe because the 70's look is back in this spring.  So if you are daring enough to rock one ... kudos!  Happy Monday.

SAG awards

I was actually more impressed with the dresses last night at the SAG awards than I was with the dresses at the Golden Globes.  Here are my favorite.

Amy Adams in Herve L. Leroux

Hilary Swank in Versace

Jennifer Lawrence in Oscar de la Renta

Natalie Portman in Azzaro

My FAVORITE dress:

weekend inspirations: trousers and jean shorts

Two different looks that I love are trousers and jeans shorts with tights.  I know it might seem odd to put these two looks into one post but it is the weekend and I want to wear one each day.  I decided to check out some of my favorite blogs and post my inspiration for this weekend.  Happy Friday and enjoy!

golden globes 2011

So I know this post is late but I was on Holiday!!!  But I didn't miss the Golden Globes.  I can honestly say I wasn't crazy crazy about any of the dresses but I picked my top favs and the ones that I personally didn't care for.

Anne Hathaway, in Armani Privé
She looked stunning and the back of the dress was amazing.

Amy Adams, in Marchesa
I just loved this color on her and the dress was gorgeous.

Kyra Sedgwick, in Emilio Pucci
This color was by far the prettiest there and she looked beautiful in it.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, in Monique Lhuillier
She looked like a queen. Stunning.

Sandra Bullock, in Jenny Packham
This was probably my favorite dress but her hair was so horrible you almost didn't even see the dress.

Jennifer Lopez, in Zuhair Murad
Now this one got some mixed reviews but I loved it.

Jayma Mays, in Alberta Ferretti
I love this dress but she is way too skinny.
Dianna Agron, in J. Mendel
She looked like old Hollywood glamour.

Now on to the ones I just didn't get.
Helena Bonham Carter, in Vivienne Westwood
No comment.

January Jones, in Versace
I liked it at first but there is something about it that bugs me.

Michelle Williams, in Valentino
I love her but I did not care for this dress at all.

Kelly Osbourne, in Zac Posen
She is so small now that she should have worn a dress that didn't drown her.

Emma Heming with Bruce Willis, in Dior Homme
I don't like that you can see through it.
Seal with Heidi Klum, in Marc Jacobs
I think she forgot it was the Golden Globes.

fashion icon: Natalie Portman

Ever since the holiday break I have found myself starring at my closet and not having a thing to wear. Which means very little blogging these days.  I go to work and hate my outfits.  UGGGGGG.  I needed a little inspiration and I found it in one of my favorite actresses ... Natalie Portman.  She always looks so glamorous on the red carpet.  I am very curious to see what she will wear this awards season.  If you haven't already seen the movie "Black Swan" go to it.  I promise you will like it.

january wish list

Thank you to Anthropologie and Free People (two stores I no longer get a discount at) I have found a few items that I MUST HAVE.

From Anthro:
A good pair of flared jeans (these are by AG). I have been using the same purse for well over a year and it is due time I get myself a new one. Anthro always has awesome leather purses so why not red. I am thinking about going on a vacation so I will definitely need a new bikini.

From Free People:
A classic maxi tank dress for wearing over my new bikini, duh! Hot wedge heels, why not? Fun kick ass shoes, again why not?
